Sunday February 26th  - Worship service at 10am

You’re very welcome to join us at the Carpenters Arms community centre on Boldmere Road for worship this Sunday at 10am.

This Sunday Pastor David McNeil will be speaking as we continue to develop a teaching series based on a recent Leadership team initiative held with a Team from the UK based ‘Freedom in Christ’ ministries. The retreat held before Christmas helped to generate a ‘Prayer Action Plan’ which we believe will help provide a strategic focus for our corporate prayer as we seek to move forward in mission together… This Sunday is the 4th of 5 sessions, the final session will be presented by Paul Eeles on Sunday 11th March.

We’ll also be celebrating with Paul & Steph Reynolds as they dedicate their daughter Charolotte. The service will be followed by a shared lunch to which all are welcome – just let us know you’ll be there so we can cater accordingly!

The Church we see…

Around this time last year we talked through an important series based around the title ‘The Church we see…’ which was a follow up to a really positive session we held as a Ministry Team just before the summer on a retreat day away together.

Ministry Team members who serve in areas including Life Groups, Children’s & Youth ministry, Worship & Administration were asked to describe the type of Church we wanted to build together and from these discussions we’ve been able to generate 5 key statements that summarize our central vision & values as a Church…

We’re encouraging folks in the Church to work out their own personal response & contribution to join us to help build the ‘Church we see…’ – A Church that promotes a Jesus-centred life & invests it’s energies to help others do life well!

1) The Church we see…is devoted to God the Father, promoting a Jesus-centred life empowered by the Holy Spirit. VISION
2) The Church we see…is a diverse family which is friendly, inclusive, accepting of all people and bridges the generations. VALUES
3) The Church we see…exists to help people encounter Jesus and enable them to do life well. MISSION
4) The Church we see…takes responsibility to develop God-given gifts to serve others. STRATEGY
5) The Church we see… joyfully celebrates life and is growing together in a real and honest way. CULTURE

Following Jesus… focused on doing life well.
